FAQs
Q: How can I become a member?
A: Attend
a meeting and ask anyone how to obtain a membership form (you need to have a current member sponsor you), pay the appropriate
dues, and remain at the meeting until the business section
where hopefully you will be voted into the organization.
Q: Why should I join HESP?
A: First
look at all the reasons listed above, and consider the benefits
that we as a professional society offer to our members. You won't find another professional society that has what HESP has to offer.
Q: O.K. I
get a hot buffet, but whats the real value?
Why should I give up my time? I work hard all day.
A: The real value is
networking with people in your field and vendors that can supply your resource requests. If you're having trouble solving a complex problem, there's sure to be another engineer with a suggestion or answer. Talking with the vendors ensures that you can get what you need, when you need it. Our vendors publish in our newsletter so you have their information right at your fingertips.
Q. What is
the difference between regular members and associate members
A. Regular members
are healthcare facility employees and are given the opportunity to become elected officers in HESP; Associate members can vote
on anything that would be brought forth that would require
a vote.
