JUNE'S MEETING SPONSOR
HESP extends its thanks and appreciation to Delval. The following synopsis was
submitted:
June's Meeting Sponsor was Delval Equipment Corporation, 295 Meadowlands Blvd.,
Washington, PA 15301 and was represented at the meeting by Chris Morgan, General
Manager, Bob Shell, New Equipment Sales, Bob Weber, Aftermarket Sales, Dave
Baccari, Water Treatment Sales, and Lois Moretti, Customer Service
Representative.
Chris Morgan explained that Delval is the only "full service" boiler repair and
sales company in the tri-state area, not only offering equipment and repairs,
but code welding, pressure vessel repairs, complete parts inventory, water
treatment products for boilers and cooling towers. Delval also has rental
boilers available on their premises for fast response to customers needs.
Representing various well-respected companies, such as Cleaver-Brooks, Nebraska
Boiler, Grundfos, Autoflame, and others, has allowed Delval Equipment Corp. to
build its reputation on excellent response and service and be the "boiler room
experts".
Bob Shell spoke about the Autoflame Combustion Management System available for
retrofit on most any burner with existing linkage. The Micro Modulation Fuel/Air
ratio control with the positioning accuracy of direct servo drive on the air
damper and the fuel valve, allows accuracy to within 1/10 of one degree! The
Exhaust Gas Analyzer (EGA) with a probe in the stack, will allow minute
corrections to the air damper, allowing the burner to always be most efficient
operation.
Bob Weber spoke about Envirotrol, Inc., a ceramic cover and radiant heat barrier
coating with insulating properties. This product maintains high tensile strength
and elasticity over a wide range of temperatures. This product is applied by
trained application technicians on pipe, roofs, deaerators, economizers, can be
applied on hot surfaces without shutdown, chemical resistant, protects against
corrosion, and is easily repaired and maintain.
Dave Baccari, Delval's Water Treatment specialist, spoke about maintaining a
good water treatment program to save energy and the effect scale and corrosion
have on the fuel bill. Dave made a point that you can no longer have that
eggshell thick scale on boiler tubes and how much money in additional fuel that
scale costs your facility. Properly maintaining a good chemical treatment
program with proper testing and supervision, will lower operating costs of any
facility.
If you have any questions on any of the above, please call Delval and ask for
their usual excellent response and service.
