Call to Order: President, Terry Kocian, called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. Terry announced that this evening's meeting is our mini-trade show and introduced our sponsors: Ekahau, FLUKE, Centimark, Cavalier Firestop Systems, Harvest Data Systems, Lawson Products, Conco Systems, Belzona, Tremco, Enecon Corp., and General Products & Supply, Inc.

Members and guests went to each table to see the different products on display and each sponsor gave a brief introduction. Many great prizes were raffled.

Business Meeting: Terry called the meeting to order at 8:14 P.M. The attendance for this evening's meeting was as follows: 27 hospital members; 48 associate members; and 27 guests. The actual count was ninety-one (91). The minutes from the February 2007 meeting were approved as printed.

Treasurer's Report: Dick Barker -- Dick read the Treasurer's report. It was approved as read.

New Members: We had four applicants accepted for membership tonight. Ted Kaczorowski III, Climatech; John Brady, The Hite Co.; Ron Grafton, Clinical Engineer, West Penn Hospital; and John J. Molinaro, Point Financial Services, Inc. A vote was taken and all candidates were approved for membership. HESP welcomes its new members!

Guests: Mike Giles, Tri State Video, introduced himself tonight.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Education: Michael Bryer -- No Report.

Newsletter: Ron Lukcic -- Ron announced that the ads for the newsletter are filled for the year. Ron thanked all of our advertisers, past, present and future and asked everyone to "check the green pages" when looking for products or services to support our advertisers. Ron expressed our thanks to Harry Elinsky, Jr., Filtech, Inc. and Mark Lantz, Lantz and Associates, for the yummy appetizers. As usual, Ron is looking for articles of interest and / or humor for the newsletter.

Codes and Regulations: Bill Brooks -- No Report.

ASHE: No Report.

Biomed: Dan Procupp -- Bob Tobin, No Report.

Membership: Brenda Henwood -- No Report.

Holiday Party: Chuck Froetschel -- Chuck told us that he is looking for new ideas for the Holiday Party. He is open to suggestions. Chuck's contact information is on the back of the newsletter.

Summer Activity: Bruce Saddler -- This year's activity will again be a tailgate party at The Washington Wild Things baseball game on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Falconi field in Washington, Pa. The game will start at 7:05 P.M. Bruce said that we will have a pavilion and catered ballpark food. He said to bring the kids to this reasonably priced, family fun event.

Golf Outing: Steve Tarasovic -- Steve said that he has no firm date for the golf outing yet but is looking at the 2nd or 3rd week in September. He is also looking at other golf courses. Steve said that he should have pricing and more information at April's meeting.

Web Site/Marketing: Alice Hoffmaster (The Write Design) -- Alice reminded everyone to log onto the web site and sign up for the newsletter. It only takes a minute and you will receive information by E-Mail keeping you up to date on HESP news and events. www.hospital-engineers.org. To those who have already signed up, please put your E-Mail in again unless you have received confirmation.

Hospital Engineers Special Projects: No Report.

Sponsorship Committee: Dan Procupp and Roy Brunner are chairing this committee to find sponsors for the year. Dan said that June is open. He would like to know if anyone interested in sponsoring a meeting, which can be done for as little as $700. As Dan stated, this is a team effort and any help will be appreciated.

New Business: No Report.

8:27 P.M.
