October's Meeting

The Hite Company

HESP extends its thanks to The Hite Company, the synopsis follows:
For those members who couldn't attend, The Hite Co. is a family owned full line
electrical distributor with 8 locations in W. Pa. and headquartered in Altoona.
Although we're new to Pgh. [1st location opened in 2005], we've been in business
since 1949 with a total of 20 locations [18 in Pa.]. While we realize most of
you have existing relationships with other distributors, we welcome the
opportunity to perhaps become an "alternate" supplier.

Please feel free to contact me anytime. Thank you for introducing me to Mr.
Thompson from the Veterans Center -- we plan on donating materials for their new
building.

Best Regards,

SEE THE WORLD IN A NEW LIGHT SYLVANIA

According to DOE estimates, almost 30% of all power consumption per year is used
for electric lighting. For individual businesses, that percentage can be as high
as 60%. That's why the Federal government is offering tax deductions for
lighting upgrades.

Sylvania energy efficient lamps and electronic ballasts can greatly reduce your
demand for electricity and potentially qualify you for a tax deduction.

Reduce your power consumption by over 40% with a T12 to T8 fluorescent lighting
upgrade resulting in average savings of $24.00 per year for a typical 4 lamp
fixture. You'll get more light, better light, and dramatic energy savings with a
simple lamp & ballast retrofit. No need to replace sockets or fixtures.

If you already have T8 lamps installed, simple switch to Sylvania's 28 watt
OCTRON Supersaver XP lamp and save 12% in energy over standard T8's. Supersaver
XP lamps offer lower energy usage, longer life, & more light than standard T8
lamps while operating in the same fixture.

Sylvania DULUX EL compact fluorescent lamps are long life, energy efficient
alternatives for incandescent lamps in many applications. They can save up to
75% in energy compared to similar lumen output incandescent lamps while lasting
up to 14 times longer.

If you use 400W metal halide lamps, Sylvania's 360W METALARC Super Saver will
save 10% in energy, an average of $16.00 per lamp per year and $80.00 over the
life of each lamp; all this with no ballast change or socket change required.
Simply take one bulb out and put the other bulb in. You will maintain the same
light level and bulb life, but capture immediate energy savings. We also offer
an energy saving 950W replacement lamp for your 1000W Metal Halide fixtures.
Save $20 in energy per year per fixture just by changing the lamp.

How can we help you and your company??
